The Enerpac P39 is a single-speed, steel hydraulic hand pump designed for reliable 10,000 psi power in field maintenance, industrial repair, and controlled lifting applications. Part of Enerpac’s ULTIMA series, the P39 is engineered for durability, portability, and consistent high-pressure output when a compact, manual pump is the most efficient solution.
Ultima Steel Hand Pumps are durable, portable, and highly efficient. Each model in the series features an all-steel construction, a chrome plated plunger, and a wiper system for long-lasting performance.
All except the P39 are 2 stage pumps, which reduces the number of handle strokes by as much as 78% compared to a single speed pump. This is ideal for applications when high flow is needed at the first stage, (such as when advancing a cylinder to the point of load contact). The pump switches automatically to the second stage which is the low flow high-pressure stage.
With a choice of oil capacities up to 453 in3 (7423 cm3), you will find Ultima Steel Hand Pumps that can handle multiple cylinder hook-ups, including models to suit either single-acting and double-acting cylinders.

Built with a rugged steel frame and chrome-plated plunger, the P39 is ready for demanding job environments where electric or gas-powered pumps are not practical. Its single-speed pump design delivers smooth oil flow for advancing single-acting cylinders, spreaders, pullers, and cutting tools. A large internal reservoir, ergonomic handle, and integrated internal pressure relief valve ensure safe, controlled hydraulic output in a small footprint. Lightweight and easy to transport, the P39 is a trusted workhorse for technicians who require dependable, manual hydraulic power at the jobsite.
Generates full 10,000 psi (700 bar) hydraulic pressure using manual operation.
Ideal for use where electrical power is unavailable or restricted.
One pressure stage provides smooth pump action and consistent tool control.
No switching between stages — ideal for shorter stroke cylinder work and tight access applications.
Steel body and reservoir withstand rough handling and industrial conditions.
Chrome-plated plunger resists corrosion and scoring.
Built for long-term reliability with Enerpac ULTIMA engineering.
Integrated reservoir powers a wide range of single-acting cylinders and tools without frequent refills.
Supports cylinders with moderate stroke lengths.
Factory-set safety valve protects pump, hoses, and connected tools from over-pressurization.
Adds a layer of safety in field applications.
Long handle reduces operator fatigue while generating high pressure.
Comfortable grip and smooth pump stroke for controlled tool movement.
Equipped with Enerpac CR400 female coupler for quick connection to hoses and cylinders.
Works seamlessly with Enerpac single-acting tools and similar 10,000 psi systems.
Requires physical effort, making it ideal for short lift or low-frequency use.
For repeated cycles or large cylinders, a powered pump may be better.
Designed for single-acting hydraulic tools — no return port for double-acting circuit.
Single-speed operation means slower cylinder advance compared to two-speed hand pumps on long strokes.
While large for a hand pump, it is not suitable for very long stroke high-volume cylinders.
The Enerpac P39 is frequently used in maintenance, field service, and mobile operations that require dependable manual hydraulic pressure:
Machinery installation and alignment
Maintenance repair work in plants and facilities
Short-stroke lifting and positioning
Construction site equipment servicing
Pulling, pushing, and press-fitting tasks
Cutter or spreader tool power supply
Field repair where compact size matters
Backup power in hydraulic systems
Use only with 10,000 psi-rated hoses and cylinders.
Keep the pump level and secure during operation for consistent oil flow.
Inspect couplers and hoses before every use.
Maintain fluid cleanliness — contamination reduces seal life.
Operate slowly when aligning heavy components.
Do not exceed the pump’s factory-set relief pressure.
Use proper PPE — high-pressure hydraulics demand safe procedures.
Store with handle secured to avoid accidental actuation.
