RR-Series Cylinders are the ideal choice whenever you need to retract the plunger quickly with precise control. These popular rams are rugged enough to withstand high-cycle and demanding job site uses – making them incredibly effective within both the construction and manufacturing industries. RR Cylinders are available in long stroke models to lift or push a load a greater distance, which will save you time and minimize or eliminate the need for temporary cribbing.
The collar thread, plunger thread, base mounting holes, removable saddle and optional accessories make these some of the most versatile cylinders available. Optional accessories include flat, grooved, and tilt saddles on models up to 75-ton. These are secured to the plunger for use both horizontally and upside down.
The RR range is extensive, with capacities ranging from 10 to 500 imperial tons (101 – 5108 kN), and maximum plunger strokes from 2.25″ to 48″ (57 – 1219 mm). Each RR Cylinder available for sale is rated for up to 10,000 psi (700 bar) and compliant with ASME B30.1.

The Enerpac RR308 is a 32.5-ton, double-acting, general-purpose hydraulic cylinder engineered for heavy industrial lifting, pushing, pulling, and pressing applications that require full hydraulic control in both directions. With an extended 8.25-inch stroke, the RR308 provides exceptional versatility for jobs that demand significant travel and precision positioning.
Built from high-strength alloy steel, the RR308 combines durability with Enerpac’s world-renowned reliability. Its double-acting design delivers powered extension and powered retraction for faster cycle times, improved productivity, and dependable performance regardless of load orientation. A hardened, chrome-plated piston, removable grooved saddle, and internal stop ring enhance longevity and protect against damage under high loads. Operating at 10,000 psi and equipped with Enerpac’s standard CR400 couplers, it integrates seamlessly into any Enerpac 4-way pump system.
Hydraulic pressure retracts the piston with the same authority as extension, ensuring fast and predictable movement.
Ideal for applications where gravity cannot retract the cylinder or where precise return control is required.
Provides generous travel for lifting, pushing, separating, or positioning operations.
Essential for jobs requiring multi-stage movement or large displacement.
Alloy steel construction and precision-machined components ensure long-term reliability.
Hardened chrome-plated piston resists scoring and corrosion.
Heavy-duty stop ring provides overload protection and extends service life.
Supplied with CR400 high-flow couplers for quick connection to Enerpac pumps, manifolds, and hoses.
Smooth internal hydraulics offer predictable, controlled motion under full load.
Protects the piston top and improves stability under centered loads.
Saddle can be removed when a flat piston surface is required.
As a double-acting cylinder, it must be used with a compatible Enerpac 4-way (double-acting) pump.
Due to the double-acting chamber, it is heavier compared to similar single-acting models.
Like all cylinders, off-center loading should be avoided to protect piston seals and prevent damage.
Requires clean hydraulic oil and regular inspection of couplers for safe operation.
The Enerpac RR308 is ideal for demanding work where controlled movement, long stroke, and double-acting control are essential:
Heavy equipment lifting and lowering
Industrial pressing and forming
Bridge construction, repair, and support tasks
Machine installation, leveling, and alignment
Pushing, pulling, or tensioning operations
Fabrication, plant maintenance, and heavy assembly
Any application requiring reliable retraction under load or in non-vertical positions
Use only with a double-acting (4-way) 10,000 psi pump.
Set the cylinder on a solid, level surface to ensure safe load distribution.
Keep the load centered on the saddle to avoid side loading.
Inspect couplers, hoses, and seals prior to each use.
Keep hydraulic hoses clean and free of twists or sharp bends.
Retract and extend the cylinder slowly when aligning heavy loads.
Follow all Enerpac safety guidelines—32.5 tons of force demands proper procedures.
